Ignite

Real Charcoal. Real Place. Real Simple.

Ignite started with one simple idea: charcoal shouldn't be complicated, and it definitely shouldn't be fake. Here's our story, in plain terms.

100% Natural, Nothing Else

Every bag of Ignite is made from 100% natural ingredients -- no chemical accelerants, no fillers, and nothing you wouldn't want near your food. We source our raw materials responsibly and keep the process as simple as the product itself, so what you light is exactly what it says on the bag.

Twenty-Five Years on One Farm

Ignite is made on a timber farm in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, where we started making charcoal twenty-five years ago. An experienced management team and a skilled local workforce have grown it from a small operation into what it is today.

That's also why the supply holds up: the raw material is right there on the farm, not bought from someone who bought it from someone else. We now export our range to customers around the world, and we've kept them by being consistent.

Genuinely Sourced. Fully Traceable. No Shortcuts.

Ignite is sourced from South Africa, a region with some of the best raw material and production conditions for natural charcoal anywhere in the world. We're upfront about that, because where it comes from matters less than whether you can trust it.

Every shipment moves through a solid, fully documented chain of custody -- from source to our shelves -- so we can trace exactly where it came from and stand behind every bag. No unmarked pallets, no mystery ingredients, no relabelling. The South African timber supplier we source from holds FSC Chain of Custody certification, adding an independently audited paper trail on top of what we already track ourselves.
